GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Do to others ... but do it first and with full malice to make sure you get the upper hand. Even if it means you have to manipulate, misrepresent or flat out fib.
Do it quick and slick and in a way that benefits you above all else. Do it sly and clever and cunning and get everything you can out of it before he or she does. Stick it to 'em good, yo.
Said no good leader, ever.
Nope. The whole concept of "doing to others" is the understanding is that it is an action you'd like reciprocated. And as trite and cliche as it sounds, the golden rule really does apply to all situations: business, personal, casual, professional, serious, silly and everything in between.
Kindness, consideration, teamwork, compromise, dedication, forgiveness is what we all want. And there's only one way to make sure we receive all this and more...put it out there, peeps.
Just, you know, do it.
Mt 7:7-12 - Jesus said to his disciples: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asked for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asked for a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him. "Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets."
