GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
wkbn.com/2017/02/25/boardmans-aulizia-brings-home-3-medals-from-state-swim-meet/ Am I a proud Mom gushing about her son, his best pal and his two awesome new buddies/teammates? Um, yes, yes I am. Here we were, this little school from the Mahoning Valley...going up against Goliath swim teams from Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus -- and just about everywhere else in the buckeye state. Four boys going against gaggles and hoards of swimmers from mammoth programs supported by incredibly considerable means. Heck, our high school doesn't even have a pool. And yet, here we stand: home of the 10th best swim team, the third best 50 Freestyler, the 7th best 100 Freestyler, the 8th best 400 Free Relay team, the 9th best 200 Medley Relay team and, the 20th best butterflyer and breaststroker in Boys Division 1 Swim in Ohio. Guess what? Our area also produced the sixth best diver in Girls Division II. Whoda thunk it? I thunk it. And so did all the swim/dive parents in our area. Because with hard work, determination and FAITH, anything is possible. So thank you, Lord, for our many life blessings ... which include the love and support of the most wonderful group of coaches, parents, family and friends not just in Ohio, but anywhere. Congratulations, Kyle, Callen, Noah, Matthew and Faith; we knew you could do it! Mark 10 - But Jesus said to them again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” They were greatly astounded and said to one another, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible.”
