GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Dontcha just hate it when someone gets toast crumbs on the butter stick?
Or leaves one light switch up and one down?
Or sets the clock to the EXACT time instead of 10 minutes fast to give you that little extra cushion in the mornings as you get ready for work? Why can't they just abide by all of your interesting little mini rules...okay, who am I kidding?
THEY ARE QUIRKS.
Some are funny; some are zany; some are totes off the wall and some are just plain prudent.
Take my pal Melissa who cannot sleep until her kids' lunches are packed -or- my buddies Cheryl and Colleen, who MUST have their blinds even and symmetrical at all times.
Then there's my friend Marie has to wash her tootsies before bed each evening and my sweet Lizzie who brushes her hair nightly before seeking out Mr. Sandman.
Guess what? We all got 'em. Lots of them.
If you want to read more about the fun perfectly imperfect, kooky little idiosyncrasies that make us all super awesome; check this space on Sunday for my column "Like, Who Does That? Apparently Lots of Us" --- stay tuned!

Ps 149:1b-2, 3-4, 5-6a and 9b R. (see 4a) The Lord takes delight in his people. Sing to the LORD a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in their maker, let the children of Zion rejoice in their king. Let them praise his name in the festive dance, let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD loves his people, and he adorns the lowly with victory. Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their couches; Let the high praises of God be in their throats. This is the glory of all his faithful. Alleluia. Alleluia Jn 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord; no one comes to the Father except through me.
