GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
In 1984, many teenage girls fell madly head over heels for Ralph Macchio who, to this day, is synonymous with his role as Danny LaRusso or "Daneil-san" as his mentor Mr. Miyagi called him, in the year's smash hit film "The Karate Kid."

Daniel was the heart-of-gold only son of single Mom, Lucille. He was kind, cute, devoted ... and bullied. His path eventually crossed Mr. Miyagi, his Mom's handyman who was actually a karate master in secret. Over the course of the movie, Mr. Miyagi teaches Daniel-san to defend himself without becoming a bully himself. He teaches him balance, both physically and in the philosophical sense. In one scene, Daniel is being chased by his enemies (the dreaded Cobra gang) after a retaliation prank on them. His would-be girlfriend, Ali asks him what's wrong as he runs past her at a costume party. He asks if she remembers how he told her what goes around comes around and she nods.  Running for his life from the Cobras, he screams, "It's coming around!"

Life's like that. Things seem to always go against us. We slave over a project or report or task that someone else is credited with completing. We are assigned blame for an error that wasn't ours. We get the flat tire when we're already running late to work. Our favorite team is in a slump. #pullitogethercavs

But the thing of it is, is: things really do have a way of balancing. Call it divine intervention; call it karma; call it providence. Somehow, somewhere, sometime all good deeds are rewarded...and the bad ones, too, yo.

So hang in there; keep on keepin' on and do what you should. It's like my Uncle Tony used to always tell me: "Honey, don't worry about what other people think or say or do. Just do what's right because in the end, it all comes out in the wash." #missandloveyouuncletony

Ps 130:1-2, 3-4, 5-7a, 7bc-8 - R. (3) If you, O Lord, mark iniquities, who can stand? Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; LORD, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to my voice in supplication. But with you is forgiveness, that you may be revered. I trust in the LORD; my soul trusts in his word. My soul waits for the LORD more than sentinels wait for the dawn. Let Israel wait for the LORD. For with the LORD is kindness and with him is plenteous redemption; And he will redeem Israel from all their iniquities. Verse Before the Gospel Ez 18:31 Cast away from you all the crimes you have committed, says the LORD, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.
