Christmas Love...Internet Style

 I love the movie "Shrek." Anyone who knows me knows I've seen it about 4,749 times.

And that I will watch it EVERY SINGLE TIME it's televised. Anywhere. Anytime. Always. #LoveShrek

One of my favorite scenes is when the king's men come to take Shrek by force and remove him from his home so they can claim his land...only for him to give them a big old ogre style smack down.

Terrified, all but one turn tail in about a nanosecond.

When the lone warrior, who is unaware he's been deserted, declares that Shrek must vacate ASAP or be taken into custody, Shrek asks by whom? 

The dope tells him that he will do it on behalf of Lord Farquad's decree and Shrek says, "Oh really? You and what army?"

As the clueless knight realizes he's flying solo, Shrek whispers, "This is the part where you run away." Of course, the simple soldier does just that.

I feel a little like the dunce today because this is the part where I beg forgiveness.

I am, gulp, sending mostly e-cards this year. There, I admitted it!

Save those folks who don't have e-mail or frequent social media (I did print out a few hard copies for my Aunts Mary and Carolyn, et al), I am going the virtual route with my Christmas greetings this season.

This year really got away from me, all, so please bear that in mind as I wish you all the peace, love and light of Christ as I turn and run away in shame...
