GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It's a problem for a lot of us...giving control to someone else. This is true at home, in the office -- heck, we humans even get torqued off at one another if we feel encroachment in our space on the open road. #stopdrivingangry
The point is: sometimes, it's imperative to consider someone else's point of view; perhaps even to the degree that we relent to their methodology. That's right folks, none of us are perfect and sometimes, in certain situations when the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars ... ya gotta sit in the passenger seat and let someone else do the driving, yo. This includes releasing your grip of the steering wheel and keeping your pesky feet off the pedals; ahem.
Having an open mind when it comes to considering opposing points of view shows professionalism, courtesy and common sense. Just for today; listen to a dissenter...even if you continue to disagree with him or her. Just quietly, respectfully and with your full attention ... listen.
It's important to always stand by your beliefs and convictions yet it's also fair to at least consider what someone else has to offer. If you don't, you just might miss a free ride that lets you enjoy the view. #empathy #activelistening #lettinggo
You have given your Son rule over the works of your hands. O LORD, our Lord, how glorious is your name over all the earth! What is man that you should be mindful of him, or the son of man that you should care for him? You have made him little less than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him rule over the works of your hands, putting all things under his feet. Alleluia 1 Thes 2:13 Receive the word of God, not as the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God.
