Hi y'all...and to quote fictional “Friends” pal Joey Tribbiani: How YOU doin’?

Clearly Joey’s inquiry intent (given that he was such a lovable Lothario and all) was a tad, well, let’s call it narrow of focus.

But when I ask how you’re doing today, the goal is a little more transparent: I seriously want to know. Why? Because I care about the humans in my circle -- one which permeates and encompasses my blog fam, Capisce?

In fact, I feel it's incumbent on me to remind you that we all need, deserve, and should tend to self-care practices. These are important, especially in today’s pandemic biosphere. For starters, days off are still a thing, people.

Indeed, many of us are working from makeshift offices i.e. card tables and folding chairs in our living rooms. And such settings can lend themselves to odd hours and disjointed days, particularly for those whose multi-hat rack now includes being a home-school teacher.

Ergo, taking breaks, committing to healthy exercise and eating habits, and scheduling down time are all crucial; maybe now more than ever. Basically, I implore you to maintaining work and home routines that nourish your body, mind, and spirit.

Listen, I know I seem ever-chipper. And yes, I do wake up like this. But that doesn’t mean I’m not battling COVID-19 fear and fatigue, just like every other earth dweller on this big round ball. It’s just that I make a concerted effort to be and stay happy. Every. Single. Day.

I do try to always keep my lens focused on the many positives in my life: my son…indeed my entire family, my friends, my health, my job. Especially now, I am acutely aware of how incredibly fortunate I am to have each and all of these treasures. #Blessed

And, in case you need a little “pick me up” right about now, check out this story of NYC’s Emergency Accordionist. Still not smiling?

Maybe take a three minute and 35 second break, log onto this video of the Neil Diamond classic “Sweet Caroline”, turn up the volume, and have yourself a little Wednesday afternoon dance party, a’ight? No judgement here … and I guarantee you’ll feel so good, so good, so good!

Such a great perspective Patty! That's why, much like hand sanitizer and toilet paper, your blog is on my list of essentials!!
