Just Let the Cheese Bubble, Will Ya?

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is nothing.

You know, like when you need to wait for a lasagna to get bubbly hot (light brown only) because you want to serve it at a specific time during the course of Christmas dinner, but you keep opening the oven door to check on it --- and it takes longer to finish baking. #AfterWeddingSoupButBeforeSalad

Or when you know your college entrance exam scores won't be available on the company website until the 15th ... but you start checking three times a day on the 3rd, just in case. #WatingIsWorseThanGettingYourGrade

Or when you know you need to let someone have space to grow ... or time to figure something out on their own, without you shoving your opinions and solutions their way -- but you must physically hide your phone from yourself in order not to call or text. #LettingGoIsSoHard

Or even when you are vacationing or under the weather and know you should be resting, recuperating, rejuvenating, or just relaxing ... but all you can do is think of the 24 things you could and should be doing so you log back into your work email.  #JustStopPatty

Sigh.

Go for a mini-walk. Read a book chapter. Strike a few Yoga poses that include deep breathing. Take a flipping nap. Better yet -- PRAY.

But BE STILL when you need to. In many ways, when it's warranted, it's just as important as being active, Capisce? Besides, you'd be surprised what you can hear in the silence. #PatienceIsAVirtue #KeepOnPrayin' #YouGotThis
