Well, there aren't many headlines unrelated to the pandemic these days, are there?
Here's one you may have missed: It's spring, yo.
Yep, you might have either skimmed over that blurb or entirely ignored the fact that we did, indeed, undergo an official change in seasons a few days ago.
I get it. It seems like it's still winter...and that it will be forever.
It feels a little like we're all stuck in a bad, recurring dream.
It seems like gray skies are here to stay ... and that there's very little to be happy about right now.
SAD, SAD SIGH.
But, think about it. What is this time of year if not renewal? It's the global reset button, really.
You know, out with the blechy, yucky, dreary ick of winter and in with green, blossoming, sunny yay of springtime.
Can I get an AMEN? Or even a little half-grin will do at this point, 'kay?
I'm sorry can't do it (and I literally would not even if I could, given our sitch right now), but if I could, I'd give you and all the other humans a humongoid hug and reassure you that we are totally going to get through this nightmare ... together.
-Be kind to one another.
-Be patient with those around you.
-Give to those in need as you are able.
-Look for the good news; not the bad -- even if you need a magnifying glass or a microscope to find it, a'ight? It's there, honest.
-KEEP FOLLOWING THE RULES; it matters and is making a difference every. single. day.
-Oh, and the most important thing: #PRAY
Hang in there ... and know that I am virtually holding your hand right now, Capisce?
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
