People Suck; However...

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
People are rotten.

I mean, not all of them. And not all the time. In fact, I believe in the inherent goodness of people. To wit, many of my closest pals chide me regularly for my penchant to see only the best in everyone...repeatedly...even after they've been crummy or mean or icky to me.

That being said, it is true that sometimes, people are the worst. They are dismissive or condescending or belittling. They cut you off in traffic or in the checkout line or at the department store.

They are curt and crude and offensive and sometimes needlessly hurtful or rude. Some of them even cheer for the Golden State Warriors.

Blech.

Guess what? Lots of them; heck, I'm going out on a limb and saying a majority of them, can also be really kind.

They work hard. They love their kids. They mouth the words to the national anthem every time they hear it. They round up their bills to donate money to charities.

Yep, there's at least a teeny bit of good in just about everyone, if you look close and long enough. I will always believe that. #eternaloptimist

Look, we can all be jerk faces sometimes; but we can all be pretty okay, too. Even those whose choose to be fans of Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Double blech. 

Either way, try to be patient with the other humans. Sometimes it takes more zen channeling than others. Sometimes it takes a glass of wine. Or a bottle. Or a vineyard.

Sigh.

But I honestly feel that most of us really aren't so bad at heart. #giveothersachance #WWJD
