One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.. Cast all your worries upon Him because He cares for you.

You know, we humans are a fairly resourceful bunch.

I mean, look at the myriad of ways we are finding to quarantine cope, after all.

Some of them are so fun it makes the whole “stuck here for the past month-plus” (or has it been 16 years?!) kinda fun.

Okay, not really, fun so much as --tolerable. I digress.

Look, there ARE some advantages to being home most of the time. Not the least of which, right now, is being safe, healthy, and with the ones you love most on the third rock, yes? Yes.

Anywho, as I mentioned in my column yesterday (scroll down in case you missed it), one thing I find myself doing during this unexpected casa-fest is adding to the soundtrack of my life. You know, my list of all-time favorite music.

As I said, It’s a work in process...I’ve been formulating if for about four decades or so.

Oh, stop judging, it’s not like I don’t have a few extra minutes right now, anyway. Sheesh; everyone’s a critic.

Either way, though I ran out of room to include these comments in yesterday's offering, I did ask some of my peeps to weigh in on their top picks. Here’s what the respondents had to say:

Kyle Kimerer felt it absurd to try and narrow down a single song as his favorite. That kid is 20 going on 87. Wise beyond his years, yo.

His father gave me a quick, succinct response: “Keep On Runnin’” by REO Speedwagon. Good call, Ker.

As an aside, songs that I like because they evoke happy thoughts of Kerry include "Do I Have to Say the Words" by Bryan Adams and "The Sign" by Roxette. So sweet...and a bit of a painful reminder of how old we are; yikes!

Speaking of longevity, my longest-tenured friend/sister Michelle didn't have a single favorite song though she admitted she's partial to just about anything Mr. Blake Shelton releases. And, as for a a special memory-jerking country song between us gals, there's a significance behind Billy Ray Cyrus's "Achy Breaky Heart" that only she and I get. Again, don't look down your nose on us and our love for the mullet-mavened crooner.

On the opposite end of the harmony spectrum is my dear pal Father John Keehner's top pick:  The Adagio from Dvorak's Symphony Number 9.  Just beautiful, Padre. I do, however, feel the need to share with him the disturbing trend I saw when I posed the 'fave song' question to my siblings. Ahem.

My big bro Dan answered first and fast: "It's A Sin" by The Pet Shop Boys. Next chimed in my sis Gina, who said, "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC. Hmm. I really began to worry when my other sis (Kerry's by blood) Kim replied: "Hotel California" by The Eagles.

Scared gulp.

Either way, my other sista from another mista Christine raised things back up outta the cellar with her suggestion of Luciano Pavarotti's version of the Ave Maria (one of my own picks). She also listed "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen. Meh, I could take or leave him but I know he's a heavy hitter, yo.

Speaking of heavy hitters, I'll just slip in two more of my own top tracks: "O Holy Night" by ... sorry, Josh Groban ... Franco Corelli and Panis Angelicus by (who else?) Pavarotti.

Let me know your faves! It's not like you don't have a few extra minutes to jot 'em down, Capisce? #Sing #Praise #Pray #StayStrong #BeWell #Peace

I am also into Pavarotti, anything he does. I dig the Four Tenors too.
