Some days the only smile you'll find is in the mirror

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I'm not going to lie to you; I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Even before my feet hit the floor, I began mentally lamenting my day.

Okay, let's see: the 'high school athlete notification of the head concussion form' needs signed; I've got three meetings before Noon (first one at 7:30AM); there's that special newsletter that needs to go out; got to pack three lunches and make two breakfast sandwiches; where's my makeup bag?; ugh, my time sheet's not updated -- ooh, have to finish making the Christmas cards; better make sure everything's ready to go for this afternoon's swim meet; need to get back to that vendor... SIGH.

And then, I actually got up and really became grumpy; hee!  When I finally paused long enough to write this, it occurred to me that the only guaranteed smile I'm going to get today ---or any other day--- is the one reflecting back at me from the mirror. Well, duh, Patty.

Friends, the way I see it,
there are really on two ways to approach a day: like it's full of promise, possibility and sunshine --- or like it's already over.  Hmm. I suppose I am the only one who can really determine how today will unfold, aren't I? Aw heck, I'll at least give it a chance to be a good one...

In case no one else tells you, I hope you have a great day -- considered yourself smiled at, everyone!

R. (see John 8:12) Those who follow you, Lord, will have the light of life. Blessed the man who follows not the counsel of the wicked Nor walks in the way of sinners, nor sits in the company of the insolent, But delights in the law of the LORD and meditates on his law day and night. R. Alleluia, alleluia. The Lord will come; go out to meet him! He is the prince of peace.

Loving ourselves is the greatest gift that we can receive and we should not be sad about the things that we may hear, for they have issues that are really serious and instead of being mad, we just need to understand them and through this way we may learn to love more and we may see the things that we do not notice. Life is full of people with different kinds of personality.
