For one believes with the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved. The Scripture says, No one who believes in him will be put to shame. There is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all, enriching all who call upon him. Mt 4:19 Come after me, says the Lord, and I will make you fishers of men.
Fare thee well, November.
Hello, final month of 2018.
This is it. Crunch time. Not just for all the typical December reasons: Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa shopping, card-writing and sending, baking and cooking, et al...but for getting ready; making way.
All the winter holidays evoke positivism and are meaningful, spiritual and awesome. I respect what each of them represent.
But I am referencing Advent in particular because it is, in my opinion, the single most hopeful season.
What a perfect time of year for a reminder that, if you believe in what is right and just ..and act in a way that is kind, considerate and fair... wonderful things will follow.
Yes, it's cold in many places right now. Leaves are missing from trees. The ground is hard and the grass is brown...if not covered in ice and snow. Things seem a little bleak, in general, yo.
But there is warmth and beauty radiating from the knowledge that there is a LIGHT in the world --no matter how dark things may seem in your house, community, state, or even throughout the nation.
And it's emanating from all who know the truth. And the way. And the life. And who choose to put that goodness out into the atmosphere, Capisce?
So grab hold of some of your closest peeps, snuggle up together in faith, fellowship and fun --and let's get ready for all the super duper happy about to happen, you dig?
