Lots of things on this crazy ride are not within our control. But navigating the course? That's usually an option.

As Jimmy Dean once said: "I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." 

Of course you're going to turn the rudder the wrong way sometimes. Of course you'll occasionally look around and find no land is in sight. Naturally, it'll be rough waters from time to time. 

But if you stay the course with honor, dignity and compassion, you'll get there just fine -- especially with a trustworthy first mate, you dig?
