GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Ever notice how we're always waiting for something? Seems we go through life just waiting, waiting, anticipating, no?
On the one hand; that's a good thing. Having something to look forward to is part of what makes life worth living. Then again, sometimes preoccupation with the future prevents us from enjoying the present. Sigh.
Maybe the best message of all this Advent (a/k/a waiting) Season is that, while our eyes are on the prize with hopeful anticipation for tomorrow -- it's important to be present in today; to savor the quiet stillness of the moment ... and to find the best part of every single one.
