GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Over the course of the past 54 years, I'm sure my parents have had some doozies.
Good days. Bad days. Sunny days. Rainy days.
Nights when they ate T-bone steaks. Nights when they ate Campbell's pork and beans.
Vacations to Disney World. Summers without vacations.
Births, deaths, illnesses, injuries, weddings, funerals, parties, wakes.
They've seen technological advances that range from men landing on the moon and polio being cured to the devastation and destruction of 9/11. They witnessed (albeit as youngsters) WWII then Viet Nam and the end of the Cold War and so much in between.
Though it all, never could we have asked for a better example of putting faith and family above all else in this life.
Nor could we have asked for better role models for what marriage and commitment should be.
Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad: you are loved more than you know. Here's to the next 54!

For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened..."
