54 Years and Counting...

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Over the course of the past 54 years, I'm sure my parents have had some doozies.

Good days. Bad days. Sunny days. Rainy days. 

Nights when they ate T-bone steaks. Nights when they ate Campbell's pork and beans.

Vacations to Disney World. Summers without vacations.

Births, deaths, illnesses, injuries, weddings, funerals, parties, wakes.

They've seen technological advances that range from men landing on the moon and polio being cured to the devastation and destruction of 9/11. They witnessed (albeit as youngsters) WWII then Viet Nam and the end of the Cold War and so much in between.

Though it all, never could we have asked for a better example of putting faith and family above all else in this life.

​Nor could we have asked for better role models for what marriage and commitment should be.

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad: you are loved more than you know. Here's to the next 54!



LK 11:5-13  Jesus said to his disciples, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; for a friend of mine has arrived, and I have nothing to set before him.’ And he answers from within, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been locked, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’ “I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, at least because of his persistence he will get up and give him whatever he needs. “So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.
