And the Greatest is Love

It's no secret we're in tough times, Peeps.

The virus. The hatred. The injustice. The propaganda from so many groups driving their own agendas.

It's enough to make a human cry. Guilty, yo.

But the thing of it is, is: as long as there's even one of us left out here who believes in the power of love conquering all, it can.

I'm that one, y'all -- and I know for a fact I'm not alone. #LoveIsGreaterThanHate

Remember that amazing Alan Jackson song "Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?" It was written in response to the devastation wrought by the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. My favorite line is:

"... I know Jesus and I talk to God and I remember this from when I was young: Faith, hope, and love are some good things He gave us -- and the greatest is love."  Dang straight.

Here's what: love is the most basic of all the feels. It's a rare earth-dweller who is completely devoid of it. 

I mean, Dean Martin had a really good point: Everybody loves somebody sometime. Think about that. There's at least one other being on this rock (human, canine, feline, reptilian, whatevs) you love, right? Of course there is.

All I'm asking is for us to draw on that love. Focus on it and the joy it brings you. Picture your significant other or your precious child or your adorable fur baby right now.

Aren't they just the most wonderfulest, super awesome blessing ya ever did see? Of course they are; that's why they make you feel all gloopy and smiley inside. That.Is.Love. And it's quite infectious.

Don't hold onto it; spread it around, a'ight? Before you know it, LOVE will be the contagion sweeping the nation and the world. And that's one bug we all want to catch, Capisce? #Love #Equality #Justice #Hope #Pray #Peace
