GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When you're a child and you ask you parents for something; all you want to hear in return is-YES, YOU MAY HAVE IT; IT'S YOURS! Sometimes you do; other times, not so much. Your parents grant your wish --or not-- based on what they feel is best for you. Hmpf. It's hard to accept NO as an answer; no matter your age, situation or request, right? #iwantwhatiwant But the thing about want is, it's not need. Sometimes the distinction is a very fine line, at least for the want-er. Be patient, friends. Sometimes what we long for isn't what's necessarily best for us. Sometimes we'll get it just not immediately. And sometimes, we discover it wasn't at all what we thought we wanted in the end. Good things actually do come to those who wait; and they're usually worth said wait. Bottom line: things typically work out the way they're meant to, even if it doesn't seem so in the moment. Have heart; keep the faith. You'll get that puppy sooner or later. Ps 118:1 and 14-15ab, 16-18, 19-21 R. (21a) I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his mercy endures forever. My strength and my courage is the LORD, and he has been my savior. The joyful shout of victoryin the tents of the just.
