GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I'm not sure what it was about yesterday.

It felt like, well, a week and a half. Sigh.

It wasn't just the cold "November Rain" that Guns-n-Roses famously complained about on their Use Your Illusion II album in 1992. Ah, back when they were cool and before Axl went completely haywire. I digress.

Sure, the weather was icky for a lot of us in the general northeast portion of the these United States yesterday. But it was more than that...

It was the million urgent requests for tasks that needed completed by ... well, September. #alittleheadsupnexttime

It was the deadline we knew was coming but somehow overlooked until 2PM in the afternoon for an application to be submitted by 9PM. Ugh.

It was the last piece of a month-long project looming over me like the Grim Reaper in a Blue Oyster Cult song. More ugh.

It was my beloved Cavs losing YET ANOTHER FREAKING BASKETBALL GAME and dropping to the same record as the Nets. THE FLIPPING NETS! #lebroncantdoeverythingdamnit  Sorry....

For the love of Pete yesterday stunk up the place, you dig? And yet, it was super awesome. Why? Hope.

Hope of improved weather. Hope for hitting deadlines and finishing tasks. Hope for the Cavs to get their superstar crap together, yo.

Hope for a better tomorrow.

Any day that offers hope, is a pretty darned good day my friends.

SPOILER ALERT: They're all good days because every sunrise is brimming over with, you guessed it.  #keepthefaith #hanginthere #neverlosehope

Ps 23:1-3a, 3b-4, 5, 6 R. (1) The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. or: R. Though I walk in the valley of darkness, I fear no evil, for you are with me. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. In verdant pastures he gives me repose; beside restful waters he leads me; he refreshes my soul. He guides me in right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff  that give me courage. You spread the table before me in the sight of my foes; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and kindness follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for years to come. Reading 2 Rom 5:5-11  Brothers and sisters: Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. For Christ, while we were still helpless, died at the appointed time for the ungodly. Indeed, only with difficulty does one die for a just person, though perhaps for a good person one might even find courage to die.  But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. How much more then, since we are now justified by his Blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath. Indeed, if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, once reconciled, will we be saved by his life. Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
