ps 85:9ab and 10, 11-12, 13-14 (Isaiah 35:4f) Our God will come to save us! I will hear what God proclaims; the LORD –for he proclaims peace to his people. Near indeed is his salvation to those who fear him, glory dwelling in our land. Kindness and truth shall meet; justice and peace shall kiss. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and justice shall look down from heaven. The LORD himself will give his benefits; our land shall yield its increase. Justice shall walk before him, and salvation, along the way of his steps. Behold the king will come, the Lord of the earth, and he himself will lift the yoke of our capacity.Mt 18:12-14
Jesus said to his disciples: "What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray? And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost."

Getting ready for a big event can be so much fun, can't it?

Take, for instance, wedding planning. It's so very exciting and romantic and grand and wonderful...

From the choosing of the bridal party (don't want to hurt any feelings but then again, don't need 47 attendants?) to the narrowing down of the precise photographer...

To the deciding on the invitation style to the mad grab for a hall (which must be booked 3 years in advance these days) ...

To the struggle to decide what to serve, since half your guests are carnivores, a third are vegans and the remainder are children in want of nothing other than chicken fingers and mac-and-cheese. Hmm.

There's the controversy over the seating arrangement since Aunt Annie no longer speaks to Uncle Jim and cousin Vanessa.

There's the classic clash over whether a DJ trumps a live band or if real flowers should or should NOT be placed directly on the cake. Don't even THINK about not having a cookie table with 18,000 assortments ---then again, don't DREAM of asking a single person to bake. AAAAACCCCKKKK!

What were we celebrating again? Sigh.

Sometimes the planning can overshadow the core reason for the joy and wonderment...and even eclipse the very reason you started planning that little shindig in the first place, you dig?

ENJOY the holiday season --- bake, wrap, buy, cook, create cards, et al.

Just don't forget it's true meaning of CHRISTmas, Capisce? #EveryChristmasIsABIrthday

P.S. Unless the flowers are edible, none on my piece of cake, please and thanks. Wink.
