GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
For those of you old enough to recall the heyday of the glam metal band Motley Crue, do you remember the question Vince Neil poses in the band's 1985 version of "Smokin' in the Boys Room?

"Did you ever seem to have one of those days when everyone's on your case from your teacher all the way down to your best girlfriend?" Hmpf.

To put it another way, those of you who are parents of toddlers (either currently or formerly), do you remember the days when you felt like putting YOURSELF in time out?  Sigh.

Actually, you need not being a disgruntled teen or a parent of youngsters to have experienced a moment of frustration so great that you want to physically remove yourself from a situation ... or distance yourself from a certain person -- or two -- or 78. Unfortunately, everyone gets the grumps sometimes.

Yep, every now again, one of those other humans is going to rub you the wrong way.

Guess what? None of us has "got that market cornered," as my Pop always says. We all have those days. And believe it or not, sometimes we are the rubbers, capisce?

So step away from your desk. Back out of your cubicle. Escape from your office. Make sure the kiddies are safe on their own for a bit and then lock yourself in the restroom. Just for a few minutes. Maybe as long as it takes to rock out to a Motley Crue song and put things into some perspective.

Take a deep breath are remember; if this is the biggest problem you have, it's going to be a super fine day, after all.

Rock on, y'all!

P.S. No smoking, please...

R. Alleluia. Blessed day by day be the Lord, who bears our burdens; God, who is our salvation.  God is a saving God for us; the LORD, my Lord, controls the passageways of death. R. Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth. 14:16 R. Alleluia, alleluia. I will ask the Father and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always.
