GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Sure, the song title is Carry On, Wayward Son...but that hardly describes Kyle, yo.
I mean, according to dictionary.com, wayward is defined as "turned or turning away from what is right or proper; willful; disobedient."
My boy is all about doing the right thing. So forget those first and third descriptors.
Willful. Hmm. Maybe I didn't think this thing all the way through?
Okay, so maybe he can be stubborn and tenacious. Some might call that stalwart, determined or dedicated --- persistent, even. And those are all good things no?
Alright, fine, I might be "some." I mean, where do you think he gets that stubborn streak, anyway? We are Italian, after all.
Depending on your characterization of "wayward," my kid and I may or may not fit the bill. But he certainly is my favorite son. His Dad's, too, BTW.
Yes, we can get away with this as parents of an only child, capsice?
A child who will turn 18 next week. GULP AND A HALF.
Can it really be that 18 years have gone by since that fateful day when Kyle Kimerer came into the world? #timeflies #mybabyisgrowingup
Come back here this Sunday to read all about my wayward son...and the exciting way he made his big debut right before the turn of the millennium.
Happy Birthday early, KDK!
Rev 2:10c R. Alleluia, alleluia. Remain faithful until death, And I will give you the crown of life. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel Lk 21:12-19 Jesus said to the crowd: "They will seize and persecute you, they will hand you over to the synagogues and to prisons, and they will have you led before kings and governors because of my name. It will lead to your giving testimony. Remember, you are not to prepare your defense beforehand, for I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to resist or refute. You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives."
