The LORD is just in all his ways and holy in all his works. The LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. Your friends make known, O Lord, the glorious splendor of your Kingdom.

You know how they say change is the only constant in life? That’s not really true.

There are other things that happen consistently and on a continuing basis. Don’t believe me? How about these:

-The sunrise. Sure sometimes it’s hidden beneath clouds, storms or even buckets of snowfall; but it happens every day. Ditto sunset.

-The miracle of life. It bursts forth daily. Again, it could be that we don’t have someone in our immediate circle about to birth a child (or maybe we do!) but somewhere everyday on this big round ball, new humans are making grand entrances. Sadly, ditto the opposite.

-Age-old debates between boys and girls. For instance, men will leave the lid up and women will complain about it. True. Even in some incredibly remote part of the Bush deep, deep Down Under, some aboriginal couple is having this argument as we speak. Such scenarios play out every day and always will. Wink.

-Saying GOODBYE to someone you love, even if only temporarily, is hard. Period. A bazillion times more difficult if it’s a more permanent parting. Painful. Every time. We homo sapiens are never truly, fully prepared for it.

-President Trump will Tweet out something that offends someone. Every single day. More winking.

-The Big Guy will be there to see us through the changes, the waxing and waning of seasons and cycles, the gender jabbering, and the goodbyes. He’ll hold us up when we’re really down because heaven knows that eventually all will be well.

Except , maybe, for the Tweeting.
