O God, with your judgment endow the king, and with your justice, the king's son; He shall govern your people with justice and your afflicted ones with judgment. The mountains shall yield peace for the people, and the hills justice. He shall defend the afflicted among the people, save the children of the poor. Justice shall flower in his days, and profound peace, till the moon be no more. May he rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. Lk 4:18 The Lord has sent me to bring glad tidings to the poor and to proclaim liberty to captives.
Dear Christian Bale, First of all, I want to begin by saying that the fact that your first name is CHRISTIAN is a hoot. Irony, you gotta love it. Proves that God has a sense of humor.
Secondly, I want to acknowledge that you're quite a gifted actor. I've seen and admired your roles in many films including the one for which you recently snagged a Golden Globe award, VICE, an unauthorized biography about the life of Dick Cheney. My husband and I actually caught it Sunday afternoon. (Ticket money I know regret having spent, BT dubs.)
Third, I know you're of Welsh heritage and hold dual citizenship here and in Britain. For that reason, I support your right to free speech.
What I don't support is you honoring evil via your acceptance speech at the Hollywood Foreign Press party Sunday night. #WordsMatter
Really, "Christian" Bale?
And so, in response to your outburst of idiocy, I would like to offer my own free speech - it's a short little message from me, an actual Christian, to you. Here it comes, ready?
Please shut up because you're a moron. That is all.
Now, if you want to hear a REAL winner, check out this gem from Dabo Swinney. He is the fabulous head coach of the national champion Clemson Tigers. He delivered his very own version of a grateful acceptance speech after the Tigers crushed the Alabama Crimson Tide last night:
