Contrived Commotion...Not My Jam

There comes a time in the life of every human when they no longer wish for it to include drama.

Well, I suppose actors and actresses may be the exception? But, as a rule, a majority of the people, upon reaching a certain age, have just had their fill.

By the time we are bonafide grownups, all the made-up crises and faux tragedies and contrived commotion of our youth has pretty much run its course, you dig?

We don't want huge surprises...or unnecessary dust-ups, big or little...or health or safety scares, heaven forbid!...or catty, petty, self-involved, benefits-nobody words or deeds.  Skip the spectacle, 'kay? 

It's not just fake news that irks us, it's exaggerated reactions, histrionic hype, and over-the-top endeavors we could do without by now. Save the melodrama for stage and screen, please and thanks.

Nah, by my crusty old age, all we homosapiens seek is a little calm, a little peace, a little understanding. 

That and a pair of glasses that automatically magnifies for small print (BT dubs, it's all small print these days) and zaps into laser focus for long drives, Capisce?
