GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Though I'm clearly much more features writer than beat reporter, I have some breaking news to share: the 2016 Presidential Election has ended. This just in: Trump won. Peeps, you may secretly love him; you may despise every fiber of his being. You may be indifferent, though it seems few are, but the point is this: come January 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump will be the President of the United States of America. And a great lesson of this particular election is that, sometimes in life, things don't go as you'd hoped, planned or wanted. You need to pick yourself up and move on. Life is good, friends, no matter what - we are a country of blessed individuals. And as Christmas and Hanukkah usher in, let's remember that we are all connected in the ways that matter most --- let's celebrate and support one another. Let's work together respectfully, in harmony and with love for our fellow man ... and gal. We're still and will always be one nation under God - let's act like it, 'K? O Radiant Dawn, splendor of eternal light, sun of justice come and shine on those who dwell in darkness and in the shadow of death. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel Lk 1:67-79 Zechariah his father, filled with the Holy Spirit, prophesied, saying: “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; for he has come to his people and set them free. He has raised up for us a mighty Savior, born of the house of his servant David.
