GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/melissa-crowley/ Have you ever thought or done something and immediately thought, MAN THAT WAS A BAD IDEA; I REALLY OUGHT NOT TO HAVE DONE THAT. I'm pretty sure it's what my sweet little Isaiah Thomas was thinking last night when he clothes-lined Andrew Wiggins in last night's bloodbath, I mean Cavs/Timberwolves match-up in Minnesota. It was a very interesting spectacle in which the Cavaliers proceeded to play like the buffoonish, bungling Keystone Kops going up against Danny Ocean's slick, mastermind thieves in "Ocean's 11." #humiliating I digress. Immediately after throwing up his arm to block Wiggins' shot, I think Isaiah realized it was a really, really bad idea. #ejectedfromthegame I'm kind of hoping the dolt, I mean gentleman, who was snow-blowing drifts from his driveway INTO TRAFFIC on a two-lane, main road yesterday had the same change of heart as Isaiah after his little boneheaded maneuver, too. I mean, Isaiah showed immediate remorse by offering an apology and a helping hand up to Wiggins. Perhaps the moron, I mean guy, who was causing so many of us to swerve into oncoming traffic in a blizzard yesterday went back out to clean up the road afterward. #doubtful #jerk Okay, okay, so maybe I need to take my own advice because I'm pretty sure the thoughts in my mind and the words spewing out of my mouth as I angrily watched that guy dumping snow in my and other drivers' paths were not the kind of thing I'd be proud for my pastor to hear me saying. #sorryjayykayy Sigh. So, on behalf of Isaiah and myself, we'll try harder to do better today than yesterday. I mean, that's the whole point of everything in life, no? Even when there are dunderheads all around, yo... #keeptrying #hanginthere #patience #dobetterthanyesterday Ps 29:1-2, 3-4, 3, 9-10 R. (11b) The Lord will bless his people with peace. Give to the LORD, you sons of God, give to the LORD glory and praise, Give to the LORD the glory due his name; adore the LORD in holy attire. The voice of the LORD is over the waters, the LORD, over vast waters. The voice of the LORD is mighty; the voice of the LORD is majestic. The God of glory thunders, and in his temple all say, "Glory!" The LORD is enthroned above the flood; the LORD is enthroned as king forever. Alleluia Cf. Jn 1:29 R. Alleluia, alleluia. John saw Jesus approaching him, and said: Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
