GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Sometimes things are hard to accept at face value. And, as humans, we generally tend to be a skeptical lot, especially about things that seem too good, too bad or too weird to be true.
To prove it, I did a little research on the good old world wide web and found these facts that are well, odd to say the least but also, just pretty darned tough to swallow.
For instance, did you know...
-Grasshoppers have ears on their bellies ... and they can actually fly.
-The original Mona Lisa DID have eyebrows and eyelashes but they were lost over decades of cleanings of the painting.
-The full length national anthem of Greece has 158 verses ... conversely... the national anthem of Spain has no lyrics.
-Kangaroos can't jump backwards.
-Crocodiles eat stones to help them dive deeper.
-Hippopotamus milk is naturally pink.
-Many brands of perfume actually contain whale feces.
Okay, maybe that last one none of us ever needed to know. Blech. Either way, these are all truths that seem too far-fetched to be real. I know I, for one, am having trouble envisioning Mona Lisa with some falsies and arches.
The point is, sometimes, when push comes to shove, ya just gotta have a little faith. Whether it's in your family members, your friends, your co-workers or the Man upstairs ... take that leap when you must, my friends. #believe
Who knows? Once you do, you, too might be able to soar, Grasshopper.
Ps 117:1bc, 2 R. (Mark 16:15) Go out to all the world and tell the Good News. Praise the LORD, all you nations; glorify him, all you peoples! R. Go out to all the world and tell the Good News. For steadfast is his kindness for us, and the fidelity of the LORD endures forever. Alleluia Jn 20:29 You believe in me, Thomas, because you have seen me, says the Lord; blessed are those who have not seen, but still believe!
