Don't Let the Turkeys, Blackbirds or Passwords Get You Down!

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
When I was a kid, my Pop had this black mug.

It had a funny saying across the front, I think it was in big, white block letters. It read: "Don't let the turkeys get you down."

Okay fine, it wasn't turkeys, it was blackbirds. Alright, whatever, it wasn't blackbirds, either. But it was an eight letter word that starts with b and ends with s and rhymes with blackbirds. And passwords. #figureitout

It occurs to me that, regarding the frequency with which I forget my cornucopia of needed passwords these days, that latter one actually applies to my life in 2017.

Either way; some days, it is a real challenge not to let someone else's crappy behavior drag yours right down in the sewer, too. Guess what? It stinks down there; stay above it. Even if you have to step away from a situation, event or individual for a bit...or a bit more...or two bits, Capisce?

If someone else wants to wallow around in the muck getting all dirty and icky, well - that's really his choice. Making sure his filth doesn't soil your nice, clean new shirt? That one's totally up to you.

But I say, mud is for worms, Capisce?

Have a lovely day --- and don't let the passwords get you down!

Lk 21:36 R. Alleluia, alleluia. Be vigilant at all time and pray, that you may have the strength to stand before the Son of Man. 1 Thes 4:1-8 Brothers and sisters, we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that, as you received from us how you should conduct yourselves to please God–and as you are conducting yourselves– you do so even more. For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality, that each of you know how to acquire a wife for himself in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion as do the Gentiles who do not know God; not to take advantage of or exploit a brother or sister in this matter, for the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you before and solemnly affirmed. For God did not call us to impurity but to holiness. Therefore, whoever disregards this, disregards not a human being but God, who also gives his Holy Spirit to you.
