Some things are just a burden to know, aren't they?
Like, that the cute boy you've had a crush on since the second grade likes your best friend, not you.
Or that you really WEREN'T a close 2nd in the high school debate. It was a solid #2, yo.
Or that your favorite college professor (an English teacher) told at least four other people that THEY, too, had the best term paper final she'd ever read.
I knew it!
Indeed, there are some things you can go through life quite happily never having discovered.
Such as the awareness that your lamb chops will, in fact, NEVER be as good as your mother-in-law's.
Or that your sister was always Grandma's favorite.
The thing is, some things aren't only none of our business ... but actually wound us in the process of learning them, Capisce? If you happen to know of any, please don't tell me. For reals.
I say, let's try not to worry so much about what everyone else is thinking, getting, or receiving -- and instead concentrate on being the best you and me we possibly can through helping, giving, and sharing.
The one who matters most love you best. And me, too; get it? You matter a ton. Honest. Li'l 'ol you.
Besides, the joy you feel when you know you opted for selflessness and have chosen to do the right thing despite what other humans might be doing? Well, It's way better than that crummy old debate plaque anyway.

Well, it's only fair; you were Grandpa's favorite! ;-)
