GRATEFUL GIRL’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There’s that guy. There is ALWAYS that one guy. At least one. And sometimes, he’s totally a girl.

But, whether it’s at work, at the office, at school, at church, heck, even at Mass; there he is ...being all Dunder-headed and what not.

What makes him such an irksome creature is his index finger. Because it’s constantly in the outstretched position and poised for attack mode. It is perpetually looking for an unsuspecting person to take on blame, yo.

It’s sort of like a a dowsing stick...only instead of searching out water; it seeks to find fault.

No matter what the case, the place, the space, or the look on your face... that guy is standing there noting mistakes, finding fault and just generally being zippy the pinhead in terms of casting aspersions or throwing shade at the other humans. #jerkface.

Here’s the good news, though, it’s never too late to reel that trigger finger back in and put it to much better use. Say, joining with the other nine hand digits to bake a cake or write out a greeting card or even just scratch a forehead, you dig? Reformed finger pointers are the very best kind. #bepositive #putgoodoutthere

Because, let’s face it, pointing out someone else’s faults is not only not your job; it’s a dangerous little practice. After all, it really makes a huge foam finger declaration about the type of person YOU are, rather than the poor schlub you’re pointing to, capisce?  Use your pointer powers for good, ‘Kay?

Ps 80:2ac and 3b, 15-16, 18-19 R. (4) Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved. O shepherd of Israel, hearken, From your throne upon the cherubim, shine forth. Rouse your power. R. Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved. Once again, O LORD of hosts, look down from heaven, and see; Take care of this vine, and protect what your right hand has planted the son of man whom you yourself made strong. May your help be with the man of your right hand, with the son of man whom you yourself made strong. Then we will no more withdraw from you; give us new life, and we will call upon your name. Lk 3:4, 6 R. Alleluia, alleluia. Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths: All flesh shall see the salvation of God.
