Friday morning eye opener

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I think it was a Michelob Lite (or Ultra?) beer commercial back in the early 1990s that featured the tagline "Some days are better than others" in the lead jingle. Well, that is quite true, I must admit. Some days definitely top others.  Sheesh, and I thought Captain Obvious was a hotel spokesman...I digress. Here's another way to look at it: Most days are pretty darn good.

The point is, we very rarely think of daily life in terms of the actual gift it is. I mean, we're all a little jelly belly when we hear about the guy who won the lottery for 10 bazillion dollars yet we don't always necessarily wake up each morning thinking, "I can see, hear, walk (fill in the blank) today and that's worth more than any amount of moola." Capisce?

Money's terrific; no question. But faith, family, health, peace --- now we're talking Mega Millions. Just a little eye opener for a Friday AM.

MT 9:27-31 - As Jesus passed by, two blind men followed him, crying loudly, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you.” And their eyes were opened.

We always have the choice to make the day great and it is in our hands whether we will let the bad things get on our way and we will have the best things in life. We will be the one who will have the power and we must always read the Bible to help us with the things on the things that are happening in our lives. The Bible is our guide and will always be the best reference.
