Lk 2: When the days were completed for their purification according to the law of Moses, Mary and Joseph took Jesus up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord...Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon...It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. ..when the parents brought in the child Jesus...he took him into his arms and blessed God, saying: "Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel."

Remember those commercials for Heinz ketchup back in the --I think-- 1980s that featured the red stuff oozing ever so slowly out of the bottle as "At Last" or "Anticipation" or some such song played over the visual?

They were clever and all ended with the tagline that Heinz is "Worth the Wait".

Some things in life certainly are:

That car you've been dying to drive.

That house you've been scrimping and saving for for years.

That perfect significant other ... after having had to have kissed so many frogs, yo. #HeOrSheIsOutThere

That beautiful baby boy after such a long, rough road to meet him. #MiracleOfLife

Shoot, even Punxsutawney Phil was worth waiting for this year, since he's declared an early spring and all. #GobblersKnobIsWhack #PoorLittleGroundhog

Just know, before you invest your precious, fragile gifts of time and commitment, whether what's finally revealed to you will be worth it at wait's end. Patience is a virtue, but so is knowing when to change lanes that just aren't moving, you dig?

When in doubt, seek counsel from your mentors, your closest confidantes, your Peeps...and that Big Guy. Suddenly, you'll know whether or not to keep sitting there, smack the bottle, or just open a new one, Capisce?   #ChooseWisely #PrayForClarity #TrustYourMom
