A long, long time ago, a lot of very strong-willed people fought the good fight.

They walked away from the only lives they knew (and when I say walked, I mean traveled treacherous, often unknown and quite hazardous terrain) to find better ones for themselves, their families, and their families' families.

Well, families; families: It's time for us to pause and reflect on those brave, stubborn first Americans ... and to thank them.

I mean, if not for their desire for freedom, we sure as heck wouldn't have any today, Capisce?

And yes, we're in a bit of a rough patch as a nation just now...

But like those hard-headed first colonists, we are going to find a way to all live together in peace and harmony in our land. It is still, after all,. one nation, under God, indivisible --and filled with liberty and justice for all.

Enjoy your Independence Day, everyone. Today and every day, I wish my fellow Americans all the love, health, and happiness in the word; especially our little portion of it.
