GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/joshua-j-zarlenga/ You know what I love about swim? Lots of things, actually. But one of my favorite things about the sport is how the swimmers always reach across the lane marker to congratulate those on either side of them at the end of the heat. Always. Well, almost always. I guess in the last summer Olympics it actually happened that a mean girl didn't. Hmpf. But that is the exception because VERY rarely do you see a swimmer refuse to acknowledge his/her fellow athletes after a heat ends. And when you do, it's because someone is being a little stinker, yo. #soreloser Never have I ever in person seen this happen at a swim meet. In fact, being a frequent timer at my son's meets, I am often still on deck when the opposing teams greet each other with high fives in a very orderly, very sportsmanlike ending to each meet. This is a common practice in school sports of all kinds, thought swimmers greet one another with "Good job!" as opposed to "Good game!" for the obvious reason. I digress. The point is that, whether or not you're going to Disney World at the end of YOUR big meet or game or match or nationally-televised world championship event, it is the right thing to do to acknowledge your competitor. It's the direct opposite of the right thing to do to storm off the field and pretend the other quarterback and the rest of the world can't see you, Capisce? #notcooltombrady There is no reason to hang your head. You are an amazing athlete with an impeccable resume and enviable work ethic. You also happen to be blessed with an incredible life --- and fine, you are very, very pretty. Last night's game was one of the best Super Bowl match-ups since, like, ever. Truly, Tom, even though it didn't end the way you'd hoped; you should be proud. 'Cause the only really rough moment, other than that awkward :15 of black space we home viewers experienced early in the game, was the great quarterback snub of '18, you dig? So come on, man...be cool. I mean, I'm sure you'll have the chance again next year to prove that you are, a'ight? #goodsportsmanship #rolemodel #dontberude #keepitclassy PS 132:6-7, 8-10 R. (8a) Lord, go up to the place of your rest! Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar. Let us enter into his dwelling, let us worship at his footstool. Advance, O LORD, to your resting place, you and the ark of your majesty. May your priests be clothed with justice; let your faithful ones shout merrily for joy. For the sake of David your servant, reject not the plea of your anointed. Alleluia See Mt 4:23 Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom and cured every disease among the people. Gospel MK 6:53-56 After making the crossing to the other side of the sea, Jesus and his disciples came to land at Gennesaret and tied up there. As they were leaving the boat, people immediately recognized him. They scurried about the surrounding country and began to bring in the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

Brady & Belichick are both stinkers! So happy to see the Eagles win! It truly was a great game...one of the better ones in a L-O-N-G time. But at the end of the day, the Eagles soared!
