GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Well, it's a good morning to be a New England Patriots fan, now, isn't it? I could fib and say I was rooting for Tom Brady and company the whole time ... but that wouldn't be true. And, while I was hoping for Terry Bradshaw's record to remain intact by the end of Super Bowl 51, I still walked away with some important reminders.

1. Experience gives you an edge. All things being equal, if you're in a pressure cooker of a situation but not for the first time in your life, odds are you'll come out of it better than the novice opposing you. Sometimes an impressive resume isn't worth the paper it's printed on if you're up against an adversary with skill, acumen AND the advantage of having been there done that. Chalk one up for the old guys and gals.

2. Serenity now. Staying calm in a crisis can be the road map straight out of it. In times of great challenge and stress, panic is not an option.

3. Have a little faith. Everybody and their brother can count you out but only you can decide to give up or not. Hang in there even when it seems hopeless --- believe in yourself when nobody else seems to. And pray. Lots.

Oh, and stand for and sing the national anthem when it's played; every time. Good stuff tends to happen to you afterward.

P.S. Lady Gaga rocks.

Jesus preached the Gospel of the Kingdom and cured every disease among the people. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Mk 6:53-56-Whatever villages or towns or countryside he entered, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch only the tassel on his cloak; and as many as touched it were healed.

I thought the Lady Gaga halftime show was magnificent. Nice that it didn't get all political like many predicted.
