GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Ah, the grind. Wonderful to be fully back into the swing of things post holidays, no? Um, no, not so much.
Not when the new year kicks off with a bout of bronchitis, coupled with a dual sinus infection that all came on the heels of a tooth extraction that became infected ... only to be complemented by a first day back to work that started with moldly lunchmeat, broken lightbulbs, spilled coffee and a 10-minute commute nearly tripled because you'r directly following a man going 18 miles an hour in a 45MPH zone. Did I mention it's a double-line the entire route? Hmpf.
Guess what? I awoke healthy (relatively speaking) and more blessed than I can even begin to imagine, what with the world's greatest kid and all...not to mention his Dad, our extended family and friends, our jobs, our home and oh yes, being citizens of the greatest country in the wide world. Heck, I awoke, period. Guess what else? I live like royalty in the ways that truly matter and am thankful for the comical reminders that life's not perfect...but it's perfectly wonderful.
Perspective; it's what's for dinner. And breakfast and lunch and snack time, too. Happy daily grinding, all! #2017 #newyear #possibilities #blessings
The Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us. To those who accepted him he gave power to become the children of God. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Gospel Jn 1:29-34 - John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world... I did not know him...but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'On whomever you see the Spirit come down and remain, he is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' Now I have seen and testified that he is the Son of God."
