Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/john-j-fedorek/ Guess what? I have proof that there is a God ... and He has a sense of humor, BT dubs. See Exhibit A at left. This is the tag that SHOULD have sounded an alarm last week when I walked out of JC Penney's with: the dress to which it is attached, a second dress and a pair of stockings in my bag after purchasing all three. HONEST! But it didn't. I like to think it hid under the radar of the super-smart technology that is supposed to alert store owners to garment theft by way of this little stealth bugger. It hides so well, that I didn't see it as I dressed in the dark this morning. Truthfully, I only caught sight of it once it bumped my leg as I tucked my chair beneath my desk at work around 6:25AM. #Humiliating #FeelLikeAThief And, as I pondered how I'm going to get it back into the store without getting arrested, I started to laugh. Like a lot. And then I laughed some more. In fact, every time it clunks up against my leg or my desk or my chair --or even when I glimpse down at it or someone near me does and I have to retell the story, I bust a gut. Which is fortunate. Because it isn't everyday your baby boy gets his cap, gown and honor sleeve for his up-and-coming high school commencement. #CantBreathe But for me, it's today. #CryingOnTheInside #KindOfFreakingOut And of all days to get tagged by the "Warning! Smart Ink" thingymabobber, isn't it kind of coincidental that I'm chuckling instead of crying all day long? Nah, it's no fluke. That's a sign from the Big Guy telling me that He's got me...and that it's all going to be okay. #IBelieve #ThankYouLord Now, here's hoping JC Penney security shares His sense of humor when I go back in there with my tag tucked between my legs. UGH. Ps 47:2-3, 6-7, 8-9 R. (6) God mounts his throne to shouts of joy: a blare of trumpets for the Lord. All you peoples, clap your hands, shout to God with cries of gladness, For the LORD, the Most High, the awesome, is the great king over all the earth. God mounts his throne amid shouts of joy; the LORD, amid trumpet blasts. Sing praise to God, sing praise; sing praise to our king, sing praise. For king of all the earth is God; sing hymns of praise. God reigns over the nations, God sits upon his holy throne. Mt 28:19a, 20b R. Alleluia, alleluia. Go and teach all nations, says the Lord; I am with you always, until the end of the world.
