He's There...I Just Know It

See Mt 4 Jesus proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom and cured every disease among the people. When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee...He left Nazareth and went to live in Capernaum by the sea--that what had been said--might be fulfilled: "...the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death light has arisen." From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Bad things happen.

They happen to good people. #NotFair

They happen to bad people. Sometimes, maybe not soon enough, by some estimations.

They happen to innocents and they happen to convicted criminals. Disasters, disease, accidents, violence ... it touches all of us in one way or another, eventually. 

Deep, heavy sigh.

It's just, you know, life. I can't say why. What I CAN say is that the source of sorrow is NOT the Big Guy; that's not His style.

Now, Karma? She wicked, yo, so just keep that in mind. #DontSpitInTheWind

It's hard to remember, in moments of deep sadness, fatigue, weakness, or despair, that some trials make us stronger or force us onto right paths we would have otherwise ignored.

After all, it's like Aristotle said: "To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake, it is necessary to stand out in the cold." 

And yes, there are some things that we won't understand down here on the third rock as earth-dwellers. If I could offer answers or solace or comfort to ease situations of unimaginable grief, I absolutely would. 

But I don't have that kind of wisdom. 

What I do have, what I cling to and believe with every breath in my body and beat of my heart is faith. I have the clear knowledge that God is good. He is love; He watches every single one of us, no matter what. All He wants is for us to take that right path, Capisce?

And a Dad like that never leaves His kids floundering. He always offers hope. ​
