Sponsored by www.hbkcpa.com/consultants/nicholas-r-odille/ I'm sort of a sham. A bit of a hypocrite. I guess I'm really kind of a jerk. We all are, in a way, I suppose. I mean, that happy face I try to put on for the world everyday? Sure, I mean it --- well, I want to mean it, you dig? I truly, genuinely start each morning out with a sense of gratitude. After all, what is the dawn of a new day other than a rebirth, of sorts? Every morning is just one more chance to do a little something good. To start a little something positive. To get a little something right. And every day I do. At least a tiny bit; some how. But guess what else I do, every single day? FAIL. Miserably and with reckless abandon, yo. #WeAllMakeMistakes Sometimes, I get irked. Sometimes, I'm really angry. Heck, sometimes I say the most mean, horrid, awful things you could possibly imagine. Mostly to myself...occasionally to Kyle's Dad. But, still! How horrible am I, professing every day that we should all be good and nice and honorable and pleasant...when I'm such a shrew? Okay, not entirely. But you get what I'm saying: we all play the hero sometimes and the villain at other times, no? The point is: we all just human, yo. But the trick is in the wanting to improve, yes? And as long as we keep TRYING to do, be and act kinder, softer, gentler and plain old better -- then we can chalk up a check mark in the "W" column -- at least for the effort, Capsice? Shoot, maybe I'm not so horrible, after all? #KeepTrying #NobodysPerfect pS 50:8-9, 16bc-17, 21 and 23 R. (23b) To the upright I will show the saving power of God. "Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you, for your burnt offerings are before me always. I take from your house no bullock, no goats out of your fold.” “Why do you recite my statutes, and profess my covenant with your mouth, Though you hate discipline and cast my words behind you?” “When you do these things, shall I be deaf to it? Or do you think you that I am like yourself? I will correct you by drawing them up before your eyes. He that offers praise as a sacrifice glorifies me; and to him that goes the right way I will show the salvation of God.” Alleluia Mt 5:10 Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
