GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
I, my friends, am a Minivan. No, I don't drive one. In fact, I have a cute little Buick Encore that I thought I was leasing in support of the "Made in America" movement only to discover, upon getting my oil changed, that my darling-cute, eco-friendly, uber-safe, micro-SUV was actually made in...wait for it...Korea.

What in the???

Anyway, I'm sorry about the digression but that oil change cost me nearly $100 and several hours of my life I'll never get back so ----GRRRR. Either way, my Minivan-ness refers to my personality.

It's a little nugget I acquired on Sunday night after attending "The Car Key Factor," a lecture by motivational speaker Brian Blasko, book author and scholar of the human condition. Okay, he's incredibly perceptive about personality types. But I mean, like spot on.

Brian entertained an audience full of folks with varied dispositions, temperaments, and personas -- and made us all laugh, think, ponder...and laugh some more.

I can tell you by evening's end we were all quite appreciative of his tips on how to diagnose and effectively deal with one of the four personalty headers into which we all predominantly fall. Sure, there's some overlap, gray area consideration but when push comes to shove, we're all either: a 4x4, a Volvo (ya gotta hear how Brian pronounces Volvo, hysterical), a Sportscar or a Minivan.

And though I live with two 4x4s and work with mostly 4x4s, Volvos and the random Sportscar, I am, without question or hesitation, a Minivan.

Nope, I'm not going to explain it, go to www.brianblasko.com and check him out for yourself!

Ps 145:1b-2, 8-9, 10-11R. (9) The Lord is compassionate toward all his works. I will extol you, O my God and King, and I will bless your name forever and ever. Every day will I bless you, and I will praise your name forever and ever.  The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness. The LORD is good to all and compassionate toward all his works. Let all your works give you thanks, O LORD, and let your faithful ones bless you. Let them discourse of the glory of your Kingdom and speak of your might. Alleluia See Jn 15:16 I chose you from the world, that you may go and bear fruit that will last, says the Lord.

Hi Patty (a.k.a. Minivan). This Blasko guy sounds pretty neat! Ha ha. Just wanted to say I am very happy you enjoyed my program the other night. We had a perfect, diverese group of 4×4s, Volvos, Sport Cars and Minivans in the audience. Thanks for the kind words. Stay wonderful!!
