GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Some days, ya gotta do stuff you don't wanna. As a parent, I've found this one of the most difficult lessons to impart on my son when he was very small. As a matter of fact, now that he's a teenager, it's not markedly simpler. I digress. Even as an adult, I find myself facing those days when the TO DOs on my calendar make me twinge a little. OK, sometimes, a ton. Sigh.
Guess what? Eventually, everything comes to pass. And more often than not, the dreaded meeting, event, conversation, or THING about which I was so anxious has transpired ... and wasn't nearly as horrendous as I'd anticipated. Bottom line? It's all in our attitude; staying positive isn't just half the battle -- it's the secret weapon.
Hang tight, peeps -- keep a little faith in your heart and a big old smile on your face and before you can say ROOT CANAL, you'll be in the recovery room.
Ps 85:9ab and 10, 11-12, 13-14 - R. (Isaiah 35:4f) Our God will come to save us! Kindness and truth shall meet; justice and peace shall kiss. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and justice shall look down from heaven. R. Alleluia, alleluia. Behold the king will come, the Lord of the earth, and he himself will lift the yoke of our captivity.
