"I Won this Trophy for Complaining!" Said No One Ever

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
It's really easy to sit back and complain. I mean, REALLY easy. It takes nearly no effort at all to just whine about problems instead of using the old gray matter to ponder solutions; that's much harder.

No, grumbling, moaning and general fault-finding, that's for the sluggish; the lethargic; the idle. Which is why most of the humans do it so often and ardently; it distracts folks from noticing that we're doing very little else. We lazy like that, yo. And a little selfish, too, sadly.

Sigh.

If it we could somehow monetize it, you know? If we could shape the art form of complaining it into a respectable, productive and even admirable exercise, we could put so many people to work! Heck, we might be able to totally eradicate unemployment.

Hmm.

But, barring some unforeseen new world in which nitpickers wail and whine their way into high society - we're just going to have to achieve greatness, progress and success through old-fashioned means such as: sacrifice, hard work, empathy and selflessness, Capisce?

Complainers rarely win trophies, just sayin'.

Yep, doing what's easy versus doing what's right is a struggle as ageless as time itself. But, at the end of the day, winners don't whine...or quit...or feel the need to put others down in order to build themselves up, ya dig?

Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Col 1:9-14 "...He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Responsorial Psalm Ps 98:2-3ab, 3cd-4, 5-6 R. (2) The Lord has made known his salvation in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice. He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation by our God. Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands; break into song; sing praise. Sing praise to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and melodious song. With trumpets and the sound of the horn sing joyfully before the King, the LORD. Alleluia Mt 4:19 Come after me, says the Lord, and I will make you fishers of men.

Sometimes you win a trophy only because you had a homework assignment, and had to write a paper.....
