It’s almost inescapable, the onslaught of COVID-19-related news, whether official or not; confirmed or otherwise; factual or hearsay. Some folks have even given up on watching traditional newscasts and surfing news channels altogether. Which is why today, more than ever, we need to “accentuate the positive,” as the song of old suggests.
In case you need it, here are some uplifting stories to remind you that humanity is still human…and that, based on the spirit being shown more often than not in the face of this pandemic, there is light at the end of the tunnel:
Many stores such as Wal-Mart and Walgreen’s are offering extra hours to senior citizens and others at high risk for contracting COVID-19 to ensure they are exposed to fewer people; they are also providing them extra discounts.
Some places, like Singapore, have managed to stay ahead of the cluster curve by being proactive.
The inspiring stories springing up everywhere across the country prove that America, the beautiful, is one nation UNDER GOD, after all.
Hang in there, everyone; keep doing the right things, looking out for your loved ones, and following the rules – and oh yeah, "don't mess with Mr. In Between" --we’ll be back to regular old Fish Fry Fridays before we know it! #PrayForHealthCareWorkers #AloneTogether #SocialDistancing #HaveFaith
P.S. Thanks for the beautiful gift (shown above), Kerry & Kyle: LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!!!! #MissYouPop
