Sponsored by www.magnoliasonthegreensalon.com Well, by now, lots of folks have seen it. It's generated more hype than the Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, for heaven's sake. People are in shock. They're outraged, stunned and well, pretty much up in arms. Oh, the Infinity War saga. Wait, no, not the one with Iron Man and Captain America; that's a whole other trauma for another day. No, no, I was referring to rapper Kanye West's recent, very public, fall from grace. At least, according to many in the entertainment community and those who have no love lost for President Donald Trump. To be fair, I don't follow Kanye's tweets, but I did look them up, just to see what all the fuss is about. They are far less divisive than I anticipated. And hey, I know Kanye can get a little mouthy. I'm the mother of a teen boy and very familiar with his music. Which I'm not afraid to admit I like...well, some. And believe me, many of his lyrics are far more offensive than anything he's tweeted out -- even if his wife forced him to make some clarifications for them. Look, I don't agree with everything Kanye says and does --- um, BY FAR. Ditto President Trump. #UghTheTweets But this 'Merica. You can say what you want, think what you wish and like whom you prefer. And so can Kanye. And the Pres, yo. Free Will and that whole Freedom of Speech thing ... it applies even when someone's saying something with which you disagree, Capisce? #Coexist #LetsAllGetAlong #Peace Jn 14:1-6 Jesus said to his disciples: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. Where I am going you know the way.” Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
