Have you ever noticed how ugly mean people are?

Oh, listen, I know I have no right to judge anyone's appearance...or their anything else for that matter. I mean, of all people, me, with my big Italian nose and crazy, wiry, it'd-be-completely-gray-if-not-for-the-miracle-of-Revlon hair.

I'm no beauty queen, to be sure, so let's be clear that I'm very well aware of my status as the opposite of a super model. #PKsnocutiepatootie

​And I also want to clarify that I'd NEVER point out a supposed shortcoming or imperfection of someone else's. EVER. #OnlyTheBigGuyShouldJudge​

What I'm talking about is how your opinion of someone's exterior can change once you see them clearly ... or, on the inside, so to speak. No, not by their CT Scan or x-rays...but from their very heart of hearts; their essence; their ability to be empathetic or compassionate.

You know what I'm saying: how you meet someone and they seem cute or even adorable ... and then, over time, you notice them displaying behavior that suddenly mars their prettiness. They badmouth their spouse or act superior to a colleague or toss out snarky comments like they're Tootsie Rolls at the 4th of July parade, you dig? #MeanIsNasty

Icky behavior equals icky appearance, doesn't it? I mean, once you see him make the waitress cry at lunch, suddenly, that dead ringer for Robert Downey, Jr. is starting to look a lot more like the Crypt Keeper, no? #DontActUgly

Bottom line, unless you want to start metaphorically sprouting hairy warts, a unibrow, supersized love handles or festering-boil body acne --- treat others with kindness. 'Cause what we look like on the inside matters far more than how well we clean up on the outside, Capisce?
