You know how sometimes you're just looking and looking and looking...
...and searching and rooting around and digging...
...and feeling around, blindly at first and then in full view and finally with the flashlight on your keychain...
...and you still just can't find what you're looking for in your overstuffed, busting-at-the-seams, hasn't-been-sufficiently-cleaned-in-a-year hot mess of a purse?
For those who don't sport a pocketbook, I suppose the same theory applies to a messy tool box or backpack or sports bag...oh you get the idea.
Either way, with your purse, with your backpack, or with your life in general, sometimes you just need to dump out the contents and make an even bigger mess so you can start to clean up, Capisce?
I mean, the feeling of upending my bag and watching its innards spill all over the family room carpet is all at once nauseating and liberating, no?
At first you think, "Man, how did I let things get so messed up? Is that a Taco Bell straw wrapper from 1997? YIKES!"
But as you survey the clutter, you find yourself effortlessly and quickly weeding out what's important and what isn't. Before you know it, voila! Not only are you more organized but you have also finally found the Bath and Body Works coupon you sought in the first place. #Score
Tackling chaos is never easy -- and you usually end up with grimy hands and a whole pile of useless crud that was needlessly weighing you down. So, toss it out with the trash, go wash up, and face the new day with a fresh new attitude ... and some fabulous pumpkin pecan/waffle scented hand sanitizer, yo.
P.S. It's not my fave day of the year but Happy Halloween, y'all!
