GRATEFUL GIRL’S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/melissa-crowley/

Sigh. Sometimes, the odds are stacked high against you.

There you are, just chugging along, doing your thing...and sometimes incredibly well. Maybe a little too well?

Everything is going swimmingly; all seems right with the world - maybe you even had a little victory in your day and then BAM! Outta nowhere it happens.

You get detention. Or a ticket. Or your relay team gets disqualified. And you weren’t even late ... or speeding ... and you DID NOT FALSE START.

HMPF.

That’s the thing about life - some days you’re the windshield, some days you’re the bug as the old adage states. #crud

Then again, some days, you’re the driver of the car that gets hit by a piece of gravel that flies up off the road and not only crushes the bug that hit the windshield, but also splits a crack that quickly spans the whole width of the dang car, capisce? #morecrud

That’s okay. Because into every life, a little crud must creep. Guess what? Karma, that’s what.

So, take the detention, even though you only got it because the kids AROUND you were talking during class. Smile and accept the speeding citation, even though you know in your heart of hearts you were only going two miles over the limit. Graciously accept the DQ, even though you literally have a video proving otherwise.

That’s okay.

Tomorrow is your turn to be the windshield. And the forecast calls for sunshine all the live long day, you dig?

Ps 40:2 and 5, 7-8a, 8b-9, 10
 R. (8a and 9a) Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will. I have waited, waited for the LORD, and he stooped toward me and heard my cry. Blessed the man who makes the LORD his trust; who turns not to idolatry or to those who stray after falsehood. Sacrifice or oblation you wished not, but ears open to obedience you gave me. Burnt offerings or sin-offerings you sought not; then said I, "Behold I come." "In the written scroll it is prescribed for me. To do your will, O my God, is my delight, and your law is within my heart!" I announced your justice in the vast assembly;  did not restrain my lips, as you, O LORD, know. Jn 10:27 . Alleluia, alleluia. My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord. I know them, and they follow me.

Don't let the bastards (or in this case BASTARD) get you down! Karma is a B! and that little person will get his. Not that I am wishing for it.....it just is what it is. How sad that being mean and hurtful makes some people happy. But that is only for a moment.
Shame on him!
