GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was, by all accounts, a really great guy. He did so much to be the voice of so many who were not being heard. A peaceable, God-fearing man who happened to be a Baptist minister, Dr. King was the one who did the most to advance the Civil Rights Movement -- he was even willing to risk his life for the cause and finally, paid the ultimate price.
The thing about Dr. King was: he was a peacemaker, not a riot advocate. He believed in unity, not division. He wanted equality, fairness and respect for everybody in the nation. He was da man.
In his honor and memory, let's all do something selfless today. Let someone into your lane; step aside to give someone a jump in line at the checkout; pay it backward in the fast food lunch line. In some small way, do a little something something out of the goodness of your heart. Who knows; maybe it'll feel so good, you'll want to do it again tomorrow. #MLKDAY #treateachotherwell
Heb 4:12 . Alleluia, alleluia. The word of God is living and effective, able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
