GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Life's a slippery little slope, isn't it? I mean there you are, chugging along, running the FBI and BAM! All of sudden, the POTUS goes all "Apprentice" on you, right? Hmm. James Comey sure did have a bad day yesterday.
Then again, so did a lot of folks. In fact, across the world, many hundreds of thousands if not millions of them had a far worse day than James Comey. War, disease, hunger, violence...pretty sure Jim didn't have those on his mind at all last night.
But, in America alone, how many children do you suppose went to sleep hungry that same night?
Look, it's not that I don't care about James Comey's problems. Okay, if I'm being honest, I don't really care all that much. But the point is, while politicians so publicly play all the "he said, she said;" "he did, she did;" "he's right; she's wrong;" "not my fault" blame games -- there are real live humans facing life or death problems. Like, down the street. Around the block. Across town. Everywhere.
In case you happen to care about some of the homo sapiens other than Comey and are wondering if there's some way to help some of them, even a little, you might want to check out a website that DOESN'T specialize in the latest political gossip. Something such as: catholiccharitiesusa.org/what-we-do or www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/ways-we-help or www.redcross.org/about-us
Scroll down, see whatcha think. No pressure - just a thought. At the very least, you won't have to read the words Trump, Comey, Hillary, Russia, Putin, Nixonian or special prosecutor hardly at all.

Jn 8:12-R. Alleluia, alleluia. I am the light of the world, says the Lord; whoever follows me will have the light of life. Gospel Jn 12:44-50-Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me, and whoever sees me sees the one who sent me. I came into the world as light, so that everyone who believes in me might not remain in darkness. And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world..."
